Dr. Bakul Patel, M.D obtained his Medical Degree, MBBS in Indore, India in 1985. He began his residency training in United States in 1993 and completed training in Medicine, Psychiatry and Neurology in 2000. He received his board certification in Neurology in 2002. During his Neurology training he focused on headaches and pain management area with his mentor Dr. Mann who himself is a pain specialist. In 2004 he established Headaches and Pain Care Center here in Indianapolis, Indiana. During his early years of practice in Greencastle, Indiana, He worked there as a Neurologist and also offered psychiatric care to his patients. he realized a need for combining these specialties for patients who suffer from acute and chronic headaches and pains. He therefore decided to establish this center in 2004 in order to offer comprehensive pain management care with psychiatric care to his patients.

Dr Patel is an active member of American Academy of Pain Management, National Headache Foundation, American Academy of Neurology, American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians and American Headache Society. Dr Patel keeps himself abreast of up-to-date knowledge and new medical advancements. He focuses on utilizing his knowledge and skills to constantly improve patient care and provides the finest individualized health care to his patients.
